Air:bit 2 (with 2x micro:bit + Camera + Fly more Kit)
Air:bit 2 – The ultimate micro:bit supplement
The original micro:bit drone has been made even better. The Air:bit 2 is one of the most advanced and most fun drone you can make in both programming and construction. This “quadcopter” has been developed for several years and has been used in various science centers, schools and by individuals.
- Easy to build and easy to use
- Designed and built in Norway
The Air:bit 2 comes with a brand new controller card that leaves all the calculations to the micro:bit. It gives you full control of the systems and the opportunity to get an insight into the code that allows the drone to fly. Challenge your flights or explore the code that makes it all work.
Note: You need at least one Micro:Bit board to fly the drone (not included)
We recommend 2x micro:bits per drone, one as a remote control and the other on the drone itself. You can use an app as a remote control.
Contains:
Depending on the option however the bulk version includes the following:
- 1x Air:bit 2, controller card without micro:bit.
- 1x:bit module, no microcontroller; 1x:bit card, no propellers, propellers and wooden parts.
- You receive a link to a detailed assembly guide for the drone and how to program the remote from scratch.
- Ready-made code is also available. We use block based programming with JavaScript opportunity.
- 3d-print file for download
The full version includes extra:
- 2x micro:bit + Camera + Fly more Kit
Exciting extensions:
Make your own remote control or a controller shine
Make your own light or make your remote control flash or make it a floating boar, customize it to be a floating boar.
Measure battery voltage, acceleration and more to display real-time graphs in the makecode editor.
Program movements over time (external altitude recommended)
Reverse/loop program
Place LED or Buzzer on drone
Mount sonar or lidar for distance measurement, collision avoidance and autonomous flight
Install micro servo and build a flying cannon that flies rubber bands
