Understanding Hydrogen Technology
The Understanding Hydrogen Technology Set offers hands on experiments for introductory and advanced high-school courses in chemistry and physics, as well as demonstrating the sustainable benefits of fuel cells and hydrogen technology.
How it works:
The solar module converts radiant energy into electrical energy to power the electrolyzer. The electrolyzer breaks water (H2O) into its basic constituents of hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2). These gases are stored in the graduated cylinders. When electrical power is required, the PEM fuel cell recombines the stored gases to form water, and release heat and electricity.
Designed for Physical Science, Chemistry and Physics, grades 8 to 12.
Easy to set up, easy to use, and requires no additional chemicals.
Suitable for individual students or small groups.
Basic Set includes:
- Solar module
- PEM electrolyzer
- PEM fuel cell
- 2 Cylenders
- Lamp
- Cables
- tubes
- Stand with motor
Complete Set includes all the above and also a multimeter instrument for measuring the generated electricity of voltage and current.
