TechCard Power IT STEM
TechCards have been created specifically for the teaching of Design Technology in Schools and are also increasingly used for Basic Science and Maths Exploration. TechCards are also an ideal source of inspiration for creating STEAM projects.
The main goal of the TechCard Power IT program is to acquaint children with more complex mechanisms, such as the formation of gear and pulley systems, the activation of motors and pneumatic-hydraulic systems. By building a variety of models and integrating these important mechanisms, children immediately understand their use and application. There is also a lot of room for modification and optimization, using the models as a springboard for their own designs and tasks.
This TechCard kit has 2 versions:
In the Full version, 11 complete independent constructions can be created,
In the Eco version, 11 complete constructions can be created but not independent as the materials such as motors and battery holders are fewer than the FULL version and need to be removed from one construction to support the next.
The 11 models that can be built are the following:
- Turbine
- Air Powered Fairground Ride
- Air Turbine Car
- Mixer
- Lifting Device
- Propeller Car
- Pneumatic Caterpillar
- Pneumatic Fork Lift Truck
- Pneumatic Tipper Truck
- Wind Up Toy
- Electric Racing Car
Enables students to involve with technological issues through a series of actions related to:
Theoretical study
Realization of construction
Creating a written assignment
Presentation of the work
